The Pre-Masters in Information Systems and Computing has been designed for full fee paying international students who have not qualified for direct entry to the postgraduate (Masters) programmes at Brunel University,West London.

The aim of the Pre-Masters programme is to prepare students for entry onto the MSc programmes at Brunel.  Students who have a recognised undergraduate qualification but whose academic and/or English language are marginally below that required for direct entry to Brunel are eligible to apply.  On successful completion of the Pre-Masters programme students are guaranteed a place in the following Masters programmes at the Brunel University Department of Information Systems and Computing:

MSc Information Systems Management
MSc Enterprise System Architecture
MSc Business Systems Integration (with SAP Technology)

Progression Criteria
Upon successful completion of the Pre-Masters in Information Systems & Computing, you are guaranteed a fee-paying place in the relevant Masters programme at Brunel University, provided you have met the academic progression criteria. Students are also required to sit and achieve 60% on the Brunel University English language test (BrunELT).
Course Duration

Pre-Master with work experience

The LIBT Pre-Masters programme with work experience starts in March and allows you to complete your 10 weeks of academic study before starting a work placement. You would therefore study from March to May and then work full time as part of your programme until your Masters starts in September. We give you all the necessary preparation to equip you with what you need to get the job that will give you added value to your Masters degree.

Intensive Pre-Master

The intensive LIBT Pre-Masters programme is a 10 week short, intensive full-time course taught in block format.  All classes are taught on the Brunel Univeristy campus in West London by Brunel lecturers or Brunel approved staff.  The programme begins in July of each year and finishes in August of the same year, allowing students to transfer to the Masters in September of the same year.

Teaching Methods
Instruction for all modules is classroom based. Teaching consist of twelve 3-4 hour sessions over 3 weeks per module.  Teaching incorporates lectures, seminars and group work.
Assessment
Assessment for all modules is based on course work and/or a final examination. The pass mark for the Pre-Masters programme is 50%.
