The International Foundation Programme is equivalent to A levels and other university foundation courses. It is designed to prepare students for further study on the following LIBT Diploma programmes.
Once students have finished the Diploma programmes they can progress to Year 2 of the appropriate undergraduate degree course at Brunel University West London.

Progression Criteria
Students who complete and pass the International Foundation programme are guaranteed entry into either the LIBT Diploma of Business and Management, the Diploma of Information Systems and Computing, or the Diploma of Economics and Finance*. On successful completion of the Diploma programme (and subject to meeting the academic and English language progression criteria) LIBT students are guaranteed entry to Year 2 of the relevant BSc (undergraduate) programmes in Business & Management, Information Systems & Computing and Economics & Finance at Brunel University.
Course Duration
The International Foundation Programme is two semesters (8 months) in duration. This means the duration of their programme is 3 semesters (12 months).

*Please note that the Diploma of Economics and Finance starts only in September of each year, and so students who finish their International Foundation Programme in December or May will have to wait until the following September for entry to the Diploma of Economics and Finance.
Teaching Methods
Instruction for all modules is classroom based. Four hours of class contact per week are allocated to each module.
Assessment
Assessment for all modules is ongoing and continuous consisting of tests, assignments and case study analysis. Most modules have a final two hour examination. The overall pass mark for the International Foundation programme is 50%.
Course Structure
The course comprises eight modules – three core modules and five elective modules. To be awarded the International Foundation programme students must complete and pass all eight (8) modules.
