If problems of an academic or non-academic nature crop up, there are many helping hands that can give you guidance on academic, personal, financial or health matters.  LIBT operates a strict open-door policy whereby students can readily obtain assistance or guidance from staff at all times during office hours.  LIBT lecturers and tutors are always available during and after class to advise you on issues such as course content, assessment, choice of course modules in Year 2 etc.  As the class sizes are always small at LIBT you will find that the relationship between students and teachers can be quite informal with many staff attending social events such as the annual LIBT BBQ. 

LIBT also has a dedicated Student Support Office who will assist you in resolving problems and can provide you with friendly and confidential advice which will assist you in completing your studies successfully.  In addition, Brunel University has three permanent and several part-time student counsellors who can be approached on a personal as well as academic basis. 

You will also receive a pre-arrival guide prior to leaving your home country and you will be given a comprehensive student handbook containing information on all our support services, learning resources, study facilities and much more as soon as you arrive at LIBT.
