On successful completion of the Diploma or Pre-Masters programme (and subject to meeting the academic and English language progression criteria) LIBT students are guaranteed entry to Year 2 of the relevant BSc programmes or to the relevant Masters degrees in Business and Management or in Information Systems and Computing.

In the Sunday Times rankings (October 2005) Brunel University was ranked in the top third and in the Guardian rankings was ranked 28th amongst British HE Institutions. The Sunday Times Good University Guide placed Brunel in the top 15% in the UK for teaching quality and the top 10% in the UK for best graduate starting salaries. Brunel was ranked in the top ten of all London Universities and the top London University for sport.

3. A track record of academic success
The first cohort of LIBT Diploma of Business and Management students completed their studies at Brunel University in July 2006. Of the 52 LIBT graduates who entered the 2nd year of their Business and Management programmes at Brunel in September 2004, 22 gained upper second class (2.1) degrees and 24 gained lower second class degrees (2.2).
The success of LIBT's Diploma students has also been confirmed by a recent Brunel University study, which compared the performance of LIBT students vs. international students who had gained direct entry to Brunel University Year 1 with higher academic and English Language qualification. The research found that LIBT students perform at the same academic level as Brunel students and achieve the same grades.
At Pre-Masters level, with an overall pass rate of 96% and with more than 93% of our Pre-Masters students transferring onto a Masters programme at Brunel University, the LIBT pathway is a proven pathway to successfully gaining a postgraduate degree from one of the top 10 Universities in London.

4. LIBT ranked joint 3rd in UK for overall study experience
A recent independent survey undertaken by i-Graduate, which included a number of prestigious UK Universities including Cambridge, Nottingham, Durham, Edinburgh and Manchester has resulted in LIBT being ranked joint 3rd for overall study experience.
The i-Graduate survey also highlighted a number of specific academic areas where our students were especially satisfied with their LIBT experience:
- 89% of students were satisfied that they were being taught by expert lecturers
- 85% of students were impressed by the library facilities and by the learning spaces made available to them their during their studies
- 83% of students were satisfied that the LIBT course content was of a high quality and would prepare them well for their studies at Brunel
Finally with almost 75% of our students stating that they had either actively encouraged or would encourage their friends and fellow international students to study at LIBT, it is clear that the LIBT pathway is the students' preferred pathway to a degree from the prestigious Brunel University.

LIBT is located on the main campus of Brunel University in Uxbridge, West London. Uxbridge is only 45 minutes by underground train from central London.

7. Fast-track to a Brunel University degree
LIBT’s flexible entry system allows you to choose one of the three entry dates per year (September, February and June) for undergraduate studies, allowing you to fast track your studies and enter the second year at university ahead of other students who have opted for the traditional UK academic entry dates (for example if you enrol in February, you could enter the second year at Brunel University by September of the same year).
The Pre-Masters programme is a short and intensive 10 week course which begins in June of each year and finishes in August, allowing students to progress to the relevant Masters programme in September of the same year.

Brunel University’s Uxbridge campus is being redeveloped, with over £170 million being invested in the development of new teaching and accommodation buildings, and sports and recreation facilities and the expansion and refurbishment of key areas such as the library. 9. Access to on-campus and off-campus accommodation*
Students can choose on-campus or off-campus accommodation when they study at LIBT. Options include on-campus accommodation in Brunel University’s Halls of Residence, private flat share, Home stay and International Student House (ISH) in central London. Normally up to 90% of LIBT students stay in halls for their first year at LIBT @ Brunel.
* It is important for students to apply early for accommodation on campus as it is allocated on a first-come first-served basis. Brunel University has on-campus accommodation for approximately 3,700 of its students, but demand is often higher then the number of places available.

10. Study in a smaller class with personalised attention
LIBT promotes a personalised and supportive educational philosophy that encourages students to reach their maximum academic potential. Academic classes contain no more than forty students and English language classes are restricted to a maximum class size of 20. Lecturers are also available for private consultation after class.

11. Apply for one visa for all of your studies
LIBT will provide you with an offer letter for the entire duration of your studies, including English language tuition (if required), your LIBT academic programme and Brunel University degree programme. This means it is not necessary to update your student visa once you are in the UK.

LIBT offers a wide range of student support services including a dedicated Student Support Officer, an on-line student portal where you can access all of your academic information, an airport arrival service, study programme and academic support programmes.
